Our Story

Who We Are

We are Reid Noble & Jess Ordaz, a musical couple from SoCal whose love story began in the most festive way possible, Christmas caroling at Knott’s Berry Farm. What started as a shared passion for music quickly grew into a partnership built on harmony, creativity, and a healthy dose of nerdiness. When not performing together, we can often be found diving into a good book, having friends over for board game nights, or arranging music for a variety of vocal ensembles.

Independently, we each teach private music lessons and music direct for schools in the area. Together, we sing in choirs, quartets, and specialty performance groups throughout the year. During the holiday season, we continue our beloved tradition of Christmas caroling at Knott’s Berry Farm, The Disneyland Resort, and restaurants and venues across Southern California.

As arrangers, we contribute music to Vocal Mixology, our Halloween-themed vocal group The GhoulTones, and our own duo, Sparrow & Swan. Whether crafting new vocal arrangements, performing on stage, or sharing songs with audiences young and old, we are united by a love of storytelling through music.

Above all, we love creating music together and are grateful for every opportunity to share that joy with others.

What We Do

The Duo

When not performing or teaching, Reid spends his time working alongside his amazing girlfriend, Jess, on their multiple projects. Together, they arrange music and sing year round with VocalMixology, have their own acoustic duo, Sparrow & Swan, and direct The GhoulTones, their spooky Halloween singing group. During the holiday season, you can catch both Reid & Jess singing at theme parks and restaurants all over Southern California with the Mixed Company Handbell Carolers, a Christmas tradition that they’ve not only shared for the past 8 years, but is also what brought them together in the first place. Outside of music, Reid enjoys playing board games, spending time with family and cooking amazing vegan recipes.

Reid Noble is a professional singer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist from Long Beach, California. Throughout the year, you can most likely find him playing with his Irish punk band, the Brick Top Blaggers. On top of his multiple bands and singing groups, Reid also has a passion for musical theater, performing in roles such as Leaf Coneybear (Spelling Bee), Gleb Vaganov (Anastasia), Ned Schneebly (School of Rock), and Horton (Seussical). Reid loves to share his musical talents as well as perform, music directing for various schools, teaching private lessons, and being a full-time instructor at School of Rock, where he teaches a large array of instruments to students ages 3 through adult. He also writes his own music, enjoys jamming on whatever instrument is nearby, and loves to listen to any form of metal.

Jess started dating her incredible boyfriend, Reid, back in 2024 and they have become a musical force to be reckoned with. Together, they arrange music & sing year round with VocalMixology. During spooky season, they direct and arrange music for their own Halloween singing group, The GhoulTones. She and Reid also have their own singing duo, Sparrow & Swan, for which they play weddings and venues all over Southern California. During the holiday season, you can catch both of them singing at theme parks and restaurants with the Mixed Company Handbell Carolers. For Jess, the highlight of her Christmas season is singing with The Mistletones for their annual Christmas Parody show, for which she has been the alto since 2018.
